Kerry are expected to line out this weekend without star forward Colm 'Gooch' Cooper following the sudden death of his father.

Mike Cooper, 61, died yesterday of a suspected heart attack on a building site in Killarney. Cooper was married to Maureen and had seven children - Mike Jr, Danny, Mark, Vincent, Colm, Geraldine and Karen.

All five of his sons won Kerry county championship medals with Dr Crokes in 2000.

Colm has shot to prominence with the Kerry team in recent seasons, starring in the Kingdom's National League, Munster SFC, All-Ireland SFC treble in 2004, and winning All-Star awards in 2002, 2004 and 2005.

The 22-year-old recently signed a lucrative sponsorship deal with Lucozade Sport.

Kerry entertain Dublin on Sunday in the final round of NFL Division 1A action, needing a win to guarantee a semi-final spot.
