Allianz NFL Division 1A
Dublin v Mayo. Saturday at 7.45pm, Parnell Park.
Dublin need to make up for the awful form they have been showing lately in the league. They have lost by the minimum on their last two outings and need a positive result to avoid to affecting the confidence of the side ahead of the Leinster Championship.
They face a Mayo side that has shown no weakness this year and, unusually for a Mayo side, a side that knows instinctively where the goalposts are.
Dublin will throw everything at them but it will not be enough. The Blues will end up using the relegation battle as their warm-up for the summer.
Verdict: Mayo
Tyrone v Kerry. Sunday at 2pm, Omagh.
Kerry will travel to Healy Park confident that they can end the hex that Tyrone and Armagh seem to have over them.
Mickey Harte will have his side primed for the battle though as it represents their last hope of making it to the semi-finals this year.
Despite the strong performances the Kingdom have shown this year it's difficult to see them travelling to Omagh and emerging successful.
Verdict: Tyrone
Offaly v Monaghan. Sunday at 3.30pm, Tullamore.
Monaghan are set to begin their battle to remain in the top flight on Sunday. The fixtures list has been kind in giving them clashes with the two weakest teams in the group for their final two games of the current campaign.
Offaly have been brutal this year and one shudders to think what they would be like without Ciarán McManus marshalling their defence, and charging forward to attack at times.
Offaly have no defender strong enough to hold Tomas Freeman and that should prove enough to guarantee the Farney victory.
Verdict: Monaghan
Cork v Fermanagh. Sunday ay 3.30pm, Páirc Uí Rinn.
The prospect of making it to the semi-finals should prove enough to drive Fermanagh to a win in Cork on Sunday. They have been impressive since promotion, unlike the Rebels who seem to have forgotten that they made it to the All-Ireland semi-finals last summer.
Confidence should play a big part here and unless Billy Morgan's side can start the game with a bang the Ernesiders will settle into the stride that has seen them win three games already in the NFL.
Cork are in free fall and a loss on Sunday will virtually guarantee their drop to Division 2.
Verdict: Fermanagh
