Seanie Johnston and Ronan Flanagan, fresh from helping DCU win its first Sigerson Cup, have both been named in the Cavan team for Sunday's NFL Division 2B outing against Tipperary (Kingspan Breffni Park, throw-in 2.30pm).
The 21-year-old Johnston, who scored four points in last Saturday's Sigerson Cup final, retains his place at left corner forward, while Flanagan of the Castlerahan club holds down the right half-forward spot.
Cavan manager Martin McElkennon has made three changes in personnel from the round two victory in Wicklow.
James Reilly comes in for Colm Anderson in goals, Under-21 Pauric Reilly starts in the half-backs in place of Gavin Duffy, while Enda King gets a midfield role as an indirect replacement for Alan Clarke, another Under-21, who lined out at wing forward against Wicklow.
A brace of positonal switches see Cathal Collins switch back to full-back to take over from Michael Brennan, who is out of the starting XV, and Sean Brady, an attacker last time out, in at centre back in a swap with Anthony Forde, who reverts to centre back.
McElkennon is still without the injured quartet of Michael Lyng, Gerald Pierson, Darren Rabbitte and Dermot McCabe. Influential defencer Paul Brady is also currently away in America, furthering his handball career.
