O'Hanrahan's forward Ray Walker has broken a bone in his foot, adding further to Carlow manager Liam Hayes' current injury crisis.
Walker, who was selected at midfield for last Sunday's NFL defeat by Clare, will be in plaster for at least six weeks, ruling him out of his side's Division 2A clashes with Donegal, Limerick, Roscommon and Leitrim.
Only six of Carlow's 2005 championship starting side lined out last weekend due to a glut of injuries.
John Hayden, Liam Murphy, Pat Hickey and Simon Rea are all in the sick bay, although Carlow's mood could be lifted by the imminent return of O'Hanrahan's duo Mark Carpenter and Barry English from a five-week break in Australia.
