Gerard Cavlan makes his return to the Tyrone team following an 18-month absence this Sunday.
The Dungannon Clarkes star has been named at midfield in the side to face Donegal in the Dr McKenna Cup.
Cavlan recently informed manager Mickey Harte that he is ready to commit to the cause following a year away from the inter-county scene.
His last game in a Red Hand shirt was the All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Mayo in 2004, but the 28-year-old's return must be regarded as a massive boost to Tyrone's bid to win a second successive Sam Maguire.
Cavlan's inclusion is one of eight changes Harte has made from the side that defeated St Mary's by nine points last Sunday.
Sean Cavanagh and Colin Holmes are the only players who will have started all three Dr McKenna Cup games to date.
Holders Tyrone, by virtue of their superior scoring difference, only need a draw from the Ballybofey clash to advance to the semi-final, while Donegal need a win.
