Sligo native Eddie Brennan is one of four new faces on the Donegal team to face Down in the McKenna Cup on Sunday.

Brennan, a former Sligo senior panellist, and the man at the centre of a major transfer controversy in 2002 when he first moved to Donegal, has been named at right corner-back.

Stephen McHugh (Ardara), and the Anton and Leon Thompson (Naomh Conaill) are the  other players making their first starts as Brian McIver continues to experiment.

Right half-forward Rory Kavanagh is retained from last Sunday’s 0-13 to 1-8 victory over St Mary’s College.

Donegal:

Michael Boyle; Eddie Brennan, Neil McGee, Damian Diver; Stephen McHugh, Barry Monaghan, Barry Dunnion; Brendan Boyle, Stephen McDermott; Anton Thompson, Conall Dunne, Rory Kavanagh; Leon Thompson, Ryan Bradley, Martin Caulfield.
