Ulster manager Brian McEniff is hoping to have suspended Armagh defender Enda McNulty reinstated in time for Saturday's Railway Cup football final at Parnell Park.
McNulty is due to attend an appeal on Wednesday night in a bid to have his semi-final dismissal overturned.
The corner-back was sent off in the closing stages of the first-half at Crossmaglen, along with Munster attacker Kieran Donaghy.
But McEniff is hopeful that an appeal lodged by the Ulster Council will clear McNulty of a reported striking offence and leave him available for the M Donnelly Inter-provincial final against Leinster under the Parnell Park floodlights.
"You never know when you go to a disciplinary meeting, but I would be hopeful," said the manager.
Ulster Council secretary Danny Murphy will present the case on McNulty’s behalf.
