Tomás Ó Flaharta has been named as the new manager of the Westmeath senior football team.
Ó Flaharta, who replaces Páidí Ó Sé, has been part of the Westmeath set-up for the last two years.
No selectors have yet been named, but it is believed that Paddy Collins will stay on in the position.
Westmeath won their first ever Leinster title in 2004, but the failure to challenge for a second title the following year led to former Kerry boss Ó Sé's dismissal.
