Kerry defender Tomás Ó Sé believes his team-mates have it in them to bounce back from Sunday's All-Ireland SFC final defeat to Tyrone.

"Kerry have always proven they can come back," he told today's Irish Times.

"They always want to come back up and win more. Especially when they lose. So I think we’ll all stick with it and I hope Jack O'Connor sticks with it too."

The wing-back saw Peter Canavan's goal just before half-time as the crucial turning point in Sunday's game.

He also thinks that the fact the Kingdom had a relatively comfortable route to the final mitigated against their chances of beating a Tyrone side that endured a series a tough games, both in the Ulster SFC and their All-Ireland campaign.

"When you scrape through by a point or two, they're the games that bring you on in confidence.

"That Tyrone win over Armagh must have been huge for them," he added.

Ó Sé, 26, scored a fantastic goal in the second half, but despite his best efforts the Kingdom had no answer to the relentless tackling and harrying of their hardened opponents.
