Peter Canavan has said he won't be changing his mind on his decision to retire after playing a pivotal role in Tyrone's second All-Ireland football win in three years.
However, Tyrone manager Mickey Harte yesterday said that they will try to persuade him to reconsider.
Veteran full-back Chris Lawn has also announced his retirement.
The Kerry side arrived back in Tralee last evening and then travelled on to Killarney. Manager Jack O'Connor said he is unlikely to seek another period in charge after his two-year term ended on Sunday evening.
