Wexford hit by injuries for Championship clash

Team captain John Hudson is one of three high profile absentees from the Wexford forward line to face Carlow in the Bank of Ireland Leinster senior football championship in Croke Park on Sunday.

Hudson is ruled out with a calf muscle injury and won't be part of the 30-man panel for the game, with Matty Forde taking over his captain's role.

Right half-forward Diarmuid Kinsella, scorer of the goal in the league final against Armagh, has been demoted, while left half-forward John Hegarty is out with a hamstring injury.

Paraic Curtis, who missed the league campaign comes in at left half-back with Shane Cullen moving to Hegarty's position.

Under-21 player Darren Foran is selected at centre-forward, while former Waterford Utd star P.J. Banville makes his championship debut at right full-forward.
