Tommy Carr last night resigned as the manager of Roscommon's senior football team.
The former Dublin boss saw his position become untenable after it became apparent that there was serious player unrest under his regime.
Carr's resignation came following a player's meeting last night and a subsequent meeting between Carr and officers of the Roscommon County Board.
Rosommon performed dismally in their last two league games and were beaten comprehensively by both Fermanagh and Monaghan.
There has been nothing from the Roscommon camp on a possible replacement as of yet, however, they will be keen to get a new man installed before the Championship gets underway.
