McKenna Cup champions Tyrone made it three NFL Division 1A wins from three as they maintained their run at the top - beating Offaly 0-18 to 0-09 at Healy Park today.
Starting with regular corner-forward Enda McGinley at full-back, Mickey Harte's side were always in command as Stephen O'Neill top-scored with five points from play.
The Faithful County kept in the hunt - at 0-05 to 0-09 down at the break - with midfielder Ciaran McManus (0-02), and forwards Mark Daly (0-02) and James Coughlan on target.
Nine wides in the opening half-hour severely hampered their effort however, with O'Neill, Ryan Mellon, Brian Dooher and Sean Cavanagh driving the Tyrone machine.
O'Neill and Conor Gormley pointed immediately on the restart and although Coughlan and Barry Mooney replied, Tyrone were in control after that.
Michael Coleman, Brian Meenan and substitute Martin Penrose (0-02) found their range, but Tyrone's afternoon ended on a sour note as Conor Gormley was given a straight red card by referee Pat McEnaney.
