Offaly football dispute resolved

An agreement has been reached in the dispute between the Offaly county footballers and their county board.

It's believed that the proposals put forward by former Offaly boss Eugene McGee, who had been mediating in the dispute, have been accepted by both parties tonight.

Meanwhile, John Allen has emerged as a candidate for the vacant Cork hurling job. Donal O'Grady's right hand man joins Seanie O'Leary and Sean O'Brien in the chase for the top job.

In Limerick, Joe McKenna has been ratified as the county's new hurling selector in place of Damien Quigley.
