Meath suffer Sullivan blow

Meath goalkeeper Cormac Sullivan has opted out of this year's National Football League and Championship campaigns due to work and family commitments.

The 1999 All-Ireland winner, who was first called into the Royals' squad in 1995, informed manager Sean Boylan of his decision on Tuesday.

Boylan was already without the suspended former All Star Graham Geraghty this year.

Dunboyne's David Gallagher and Trim's Brendan Murphy are thought to be the main candidates to replace Sullivan.
