O'Leary withdraws from Wicklow managerial race

John O'Leary will not be in charge of Wicklow's footballers next year, after the former Dublin goalkeeper withdrew his name from the race.

O'Leary has been in charge of the Garden County's footballers for the last two years but he was asked to reapply, and go through an interview process like all other candidates, to continue on in the job.

Although the former All-Ireland winner insists he withdrew because of personal reasons and business commitments, it is believed that he was disappointed at being asked to go through the interview process.
