Sligo go for Kearins

Former Sligo player James Kearins is the new manager of the county's senior and under-21 football sides. Kearins, who played in the Yeats' county's last victorious Connacht final appearance in 1975, succeeds Peter Forde, who quit the job after the team's exit in the qualifiers. Kearins fended off competition from former Derry boss Eamon Coleman for the job.
