Former Meath selector Mattie Kerrigan has decided to step down as Cavan manager after two years in the post.
Kerrigan has informed the Cavan County Board that he does not wish his name to go forward again for appointment at the county convention.
Kerrigan's reign as Cavan boss saw the county exit the Ulster Championship at an early stage over the past two summers, and the former Meath man also had no luck with the county in the qualifiers series.
