Graham Geraghty returns to the Meath team for the Royal County's Leinster football Championship quarter-final against Westmeath at Croke Park on Sunday. Geraghty, who had retired from the game to concentrate on playing rugby, is back for his first match since last year's qualifier defeat to Donegal.
Manager Sean Boylan has named four championship debutantes in his starting 15. Half-back Thomas O'Connor, midfielder Charles McCarthy, half-forward Shane McKeigue and corner forward Daithí O'Regan all get their chance to impress against neighbours Westmeath. McCarthy will partner Nigel Nestor in midfield after Nigel Crawford was ruled out through injury. Injury had already ruled Ollie Murphy out of the team.
In the Westmeath camp, selectors have left two vacancies on the team sheet. Damien Healy remains a doubt at centre back with a hamstring injury and will undergo a fitness test on Friday morning. While a vacancy has also been left at centre forward.
