Tyrone reinforced their position as a football powerhouse with a comfortable win against a Laois side that started poorly and never really recovered.
The defeat ended Laois's unbeaten league run but they will be hurt more that they never really showed their true form in Croke Park.
Tyrone dominated the early stages and were leading by five points by the end of the first quarter but it could have been greater if Peter Canavan had taken a good goal scoring chance. Instead, it was a then scoreless Laois who netted, Ian Fitzgerald flicking home.
That marked the start of a mini-revival fby the midland side and by half-time only three points seperated the teams, the scoreboard reading 0-10 to 1-04.
Tyrone played the best football of the game early in the second half with Cormac McAnallen superb at midfield in front of a tight-marking defence. The end result was that it became easy for the Tyrone forwards to tack on point and point.
Laois never looked as if they could overhaul Tyrone and the champions ran out 10 point winners, the final score reading 0-21 to 1-08.
