Croke Park will host the Allianz National Football League tie between Dublin and All-Ireland champions Armagh on Feburary 2. Dublin chiefs wrote to the GAA insisting that the original venue of Parnell Park with a 12,000 capacity could not deal with the demand for tickets for the game.
Now, the GAA have conceded and granted the Dublin County Board's request that the venue for their opening league match, which is a repeat of the All-Ireland Football semi-final, be changed to Croke Park. A crowd of 45,000 is expected to attend the game and the Dublin County Board are making special family tickets available for €20, and are also making group tickets available for children through schools and clubs.
The Dublin hurlers will play in the curtain-raiser.
