Bluestars matches survive weather

The annual Evening Herald Bluestars matches, featuring the best hurlers and footballers in Dublin, go ahead as scheduled today at the Thomas Davis GAA grounds at Kiltipper Road in Tallaght.

The Dublin hurlers, now managed by Marty Morris, will take on the Bluestars at 12.45pm, while Tommy Lyons' footballers make their seasonal debut against the Bluestars at 2.15pm.

The Dr McKenna Cup Ulster senior football match between Fermanagh and Tyrone, scheduled to take place today in Enniskillen, did not survive the harsh weather and has been postponed until next Sunday.

The four O'Bryne Cup senior football ties in Leinster (Laois v Longford, Wicklow v Carlow, Louth v Westmeath and Kilkenny v Wexford) go ahead as planned today.
