The scoring boots of the prolific Colin Corkery inspired Cork champions Nemo Rangers to an emphatic 4-15 to 0-06 victory over Limerick side Monaleen in the AIB Munster club football final at Killarney this afternoon. The Cork forward scored two first-half goals, the second from the spot, as Nemo completely blitzed their opponents to take an 11 point lead in at the break.
Fellow county player Alan Cronin bagged a third in the opening 35, and the landslide victory was completed when James Masters hit the fourth on the stroke of full-time. Nemo will now meet Ulster kingpins Errigal Ciarans in the All-Ireland semi-final in February.
Elsewhere, Mayo and Connacht champions Crossmolina saw-off British champions St Brendan's on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-07 at Ruislip in London in the AIB All-Ireland quarter-final. However, Crossmolina will have to wait to find out their semi-final opponents after the Leinster semi-final between Rathnew of Wicklow and Meath champions Dunshaughlin finished in a 1-09 to 0-12 draw at Newbridge.
