Football manager Larry Tompkins has given his unequivocal backing to the decision of Cork's footballers to strike in pursuit of better conditions and facilities.
And while footballers' representatives will meet with Cork GAA chiefs next week to thrash out some minor issues which are not relevant to the county's hurlers, Tompkins believes that administrators are now paying the price for years of inaction.
