Limerick champions Monaleen qualified for their first ever AIB Munster club football final thanks to a superb second-half display that saw them beat Clonmel Commercials 1-10 to 1-05 at the Gaelic Grounds. Tipperary champions Clonmel enjoyed the better of the first-half and lead by 1-05 to 0-07, but they were to rue an goal opportunity 17 minutes into the second-half.
Three minutes later John Paul Stokes converted a penalty to put Monaleen back in front and Muiris Gavin scored three points from frees in the closing stages to give Monaleen their win against a Clonmel side who managed only two points in the second-half. Monaleen will meet Cork giants Nemo Rangers in the final after they overcame Kerin's O'Rahilly's of Kerry by 0-16 to 1-07 in Killarney.
Elsewhere, Mattock Rangers of Louth beat Moorefield of Kildare by 3-13 to 2-10 in Navan in the Leinster club semi-final, while the provincial quarter-final between Rathnew of Wicklow and Dublin's UCD was postponed.
In Ulster, Errigal Ciaran of Tyrone knocked out reigning All-Ireland champions Ballinderry of Derry, winning a bruising encounter by 0-10 to 0-04 in Clones.
