O'Sé escapes ban

The General Purposes Committee of the Kerry County Board today clarified that Kerry's Darragh O'Sé is not suspended after being sent-off in a recent club game between An Ghaeltacht and Austin Stacks. The midfielder was given a straight red card after only six minutes in his side's victory over Stacks, and as a result could have faced a four week suspension, which would have ruled the Kerry captain out of the All-Ireland semi-final clash with Munster rivals Cork.

Meanwhile in the Foras na Gaeilge All-Ireland Camogie semi-final Cork beat Galway 4-12 to 0-5 points at the Gaelic Grounds, while in the All-Ireland Junior Hurling Final Antrim defeated Meath by 2-7 to 1-06.
