Cork may lose their Munster senior football title after they appeared to field one substitute too many in yesterday's 1-23 to 0-07 demolition of Tipperary at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.
The Munster Council will meet tomorrow night in Adare to discuss the incident, and it now seems that the Council will study referee Michael Monaghan's report before making a decision on the matter.
Tipperary are due to face Mayo in the qualifiers next Saturday but that fixture is now in doubt because it is quite possible that Cork may have to forfeit their newly-won provincial title. Last February, Kildare's National League victory over Sligo was overturned due to a similar incident.
