Laois county football manager Colm Brown has resigned in the wake of their 11 point All-Ireland play-off defeat to Meath on Saturday. Brown's resignation has been reluctantly accepted by the Laois county board and his decision and that of a possible replacement will be discussed at an executive meeting later tonight. The news comes a week after Colm Parkinson's decision to quit the county panel to play club football in the United States.
