Sligo IT will face UCC in tomorrow's Sigerson Cup final after the pair emerged victorious from this afternoon's closely fought semi-finals in a wet and blustery Sligo. UCC defeated the holders, University of Ulster Jordanstown, in a thrilling match, winning by the narrowest of margins, 1-9 to 1-8 after extra time.
Only one point separated the teams in the second semi-final as Sligo It qualified for the final following a 2-04 to 1-06 victory over Athlone IT. The final will go ahead tomorrow afternoon at Markievicz Park with the throw-in at 2.30pm.
