Meanwhile, the Gaelic Players Association AGM was held in Portlaoise this afternoon. The members agreed to assign all commercial rights to the GPA. This means that organisations which wish to use players for promotional purposes will now have to go through the association. This ruling will include the GAA itself. It was also agreed that the GPA should enter into negotiations with the GAA to establish a weekly rate of expenses for players.
