Dublin players back Carr

The Dublin county footballers have issued a statement supporting team manager Tommy Carr. The statement has called on club delegates not to support the Management committee decision to recommend the removal of Carr from the position of county team manager.

At a meeting on Wednesday, the Dublin County Board voted 4-3 against Carr seeing out the second year of a two-year term. However, the players have now made it quite clear that they believe Carr should remain at the helm. Their statement, which was highly critical of county chairman John Bailey, included an appeal to all delegates to back Carr at the county board meeting on Monday night.
