Boylan looks forward to intriguing clash

Enigmatic Meath boss Sean Boylan is relishing this Sunday's All-Ireland Football final clash with Galway, believing the wealth of talent on show for both sides will serve up a footballing treat for spectators at Croke Park and at home. Meath are still glowing following their demolition of reigning champions Kerry in the semis, but Boylan is quick to point out that Galway have the players to undermine the Royal County's Sam Maguire aspirations.

Boylan, who masterminded Meath victories in 1996 and 1999, insisted: "Both teams have players capable of playing in several positions. Galway have players like Tommy Joyce, Alan Kerins or Michael Donnellan, who can play anywhere on the field and there are several players like that on our side and that's what I think is going to make this a hugely interesting final."

Boylan also acknowledged that the Galway team and their style of play will differ from what has been in the championship so far this year. He added: "Galway readapted themselves at half-time against Derry in the semi-final and from the start of the second half there was a different approach from them, so different from Galway teams that you would have seen in some of the earlier matches. There is great quality in their side, we've a lot of the same, so I believe it's going to be a marvellous battle."
