O hAlpín dropped by Cork

There is no place for dual player Seán Óg Ó hAlpín on Cork's team to face Westmeath in the Allianz National Football League Division Two final on Sunday. He will be replaced by Under-21 star Graham Canty at full-back. There's also one other change to the Cork line-up with Ciaran O'Sullivan returning at centre-forward in place of Fionan Murray.

Meanwhile, Laois's plans ahead of this year's All-Ireland Championship have received a severe blow with the news that Michael Lawlor has been given a six-month ban by the GAA following his sending off in the league game against Sligo earlier this month after an incident involving an linesman.

The Games Administration Committee has also confirmed that it has agreed to defer the remainder of the Under 21 Football Championship until after the Senior Championship because of the Foot & Mouth situation. Fermanagh and Tyrone will play the Ulster Final with the winners meeting Cork in the Semi Final. Connacht champion’s Mayo who defeated Meath in a Semi Final are already through to the Final.
