The Irish show jumping team secured victory in the Spanish Nations Cup at Vejer De La Frontera for the second year in-a-row.
A commanding display from the Irish quartet of Susan Fitzpatrick, Niamh McEvoy, Max Wachman and Ethen Ahearne saw Ireland finish on a two-round total of six faults, ensuring victory was wrapped up without the need for their anchor rider to jump in the second round.
Fitzpatrick and Lovely Stassi PS gave Ireland the perfect start with a clear first round and followed that with a single fence down second time out.
Tyrone's native McEvoy with Olympic 'gl' 'fvd' had just two time penalties in the first round before delivering a clear inside the time in the second round.
Wachman with Tipperary had two fences down in their opening round and recovered brilliantly to jump a clear second round which sealed the win.
Ahearne, with the Dermot Walsh-bred Lvs Goldrush (ISH), produced a perfect clear first round and didn't need to jump second time out with victory in the bag.
