Irish riders dominated the line-up in Saturday night's 'Golden Drum of Basel' 1m 50 jump-off class at the five-star Swiss show, where Cork’s Billy Twomey scored a superb win with the Sue Davies-owned Lady Lou.

Three of the seven combinations who made it into the jump-off were from Ireland, and Twomey’s clear against the clock in 44.08 seconds with Lady Lou, saw him take the winner's prize of €16,600.

Tipperary’s Denis Lynch came closest to catching Twomey, taking second place with Dito in 45.43.

Fifth place went to Bertram Allen and GK Casper. The Wexford rider had finished fifth in Friday’s Longines Grand Prix in Basel with Molly Malone.
