The Irish Show Jumping team have claimed a jump-off victory in the Longines FEI Nations Cup of Britain at Hickstead to give Rodrigo Pessoa his first win in Europe Division 1 as Irish team manager.

The Irish team of Trevor Breen, Richie Moloney, Michael Duffy and Anthony Condon finished level with the home team from Britain after two rounds of jumping to force a jump-off against the clock.

Waterford-born Condon was the hero in the end as he finished fastest with Aristio to give Ireland victory.

The result means Ireland are now guaranteed a place in the Nations Cup world final in Barcelona and it comes as a huge boost ahead of next month's Aga Khan at The Dublin Horse Show
