Bertram Allen has had a weekend to remember in Sweden, coming out on top in two classes on his way to be crowned leading rider at the four-star show in Stockholm.
The Wexford rider won the speed class in the Swedish capital on board 12-year-old Molly Malone on Saturday night.
The same pair then repeated their success this afternoon, producing the only double clear round of the competition to take a commanding victory in the feature grand prix.
That result was enough to see the 21-year-old named leading rider of the show.
In a nice bonus, Allen also won three Volkswagen cars for his efforts in Scandinavia.
Meanwhile, Tipperary's Denis Lynch has finished in fifth place it the the feature Longines World Cup Grand Prix at the five-star World Cup show in Madrid, Spain.
Lynch posted a double clear round to collect over €9,000 and the result moves the Tipperary rider up to 11th place on the World Cup league table, one place ahead of Cian O’Connor in 12th while Shane Breen lies in 14th spot.
