Meath's Cian O'Connor was awarded the $10,000 leading rider prize in Florida on Sunday after taking two wins and a second place at the Live Oak International show over the weekend.

O'Connor and America's world-ranked number eight Beezie Madden made it through to the jump-off in the Live Oak international Grand Prix in Florida on Saturday, but O' Connor snatched the trophy when Madden faulted once in the final round.

Picking up a zero score in the jump-off was a notable achievement for O'Connor and Adena Springs's stallion Good Luck, for the horse is not only new to O'Connor, but is also just nine-years-old. Madden was riding the more experienced 13 year-old bay mare Vanilla, a horse she has been campaigning with since 2011.

Olympic Bronze medallist O'Connor also had a win with Quidam's Cherie in Friday's Welcome Stakes, and on Saturday placed second with Chandon Blue in the Power and Speed class, losing out to Venezuela's Angel Karolyi and Wings by nine tenths of a second.
