Irish riders have won five of the top international show jumping
Grands Prix on the global calendar during the last five weeks, and
will be trying for a sixth trophy at Zurich this weekend.

Denis Lynch, Jessica Kurten and Billy Twomey are the Irish trio at the five star Swiss show, bidding to add to Ireland's unprecedented run of victories, and all except Twomey will field three horses.

The Cork rider produced Ireland's most recent triumph, winning the Amsterdam Grand Prix on Sunday evening, while Kurten includes in her string at Zurich the mare 'Castle Forbes Libertina', who won the Rolex World Cup Grand Prix for her at Leipzig in Germany, also on Sunday.

On the previous weekend 30-year-old Cian O'Connor won the Basel Grand Prix in Switzerland with 'Rancorrado', while in the US, Offaly's Darragh Kenny took the honours at the World Cup Grand Prix in Florida with 'Obelix'.

O'Connor and 'Rancorrado' also won the Olympia Grand Prix at London last month, bringing the Irish tally to five outright victories in the world's top competitions during a five-week period.

Zurich's Grand Prix takes place on Sunday afternoon, and the show starts on Friday.
