Cameron Hanley clocked up Ireland's first win of the weekend in Salzburg on Saturday morning when taking first place in
the 1m50 class.
The Mayo native rode the 11-year-old bay mare VDL Rocksina HD through to a 14-horse jump-off, and showed a remarkable turn of speed in the final round, with Netherlands runner-up Suzanne Tepper unable to close a substantial three-and-a-half second gap.
Last night, Tipperary's Denis Lynch took eighth place in the
Salzburg Men's Prize competition with 'Nabab's Son'.
Thomas Ryan is the other Irish rider in action in Austria this weekend.
