Ireland's Billy Twomey and Shane Breen enjoyed great success at the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham on Thursday.

Twomey and Ceaser won the £1,000 first prize in the Sky Sports Trophy.

Only 0.58seconds separated the top three riders, but Twomey's time of 32.23 was sufficient to edge out John Whitaker (Utah Van Erpekom), with Ellen Whitaker (CS Online) third.

Breen and Dorada, last to go in the opening international class in an 11-horse jump-off, took the Grandstand Welcome Stakes with a time of 34.09 seconds.

It pushed British star Nick Skelton, aboard the ever-improving Nemo 119, into second place, more than a second behind, while Cheshire's Geoff Billington - a Nations Cup regular this year - finished third on Pedro, clocking 36.84secs.
