The FEI have confirmed this afternoon that Eddie Macken is the Irish rider who was involved in a medication control issue at last year's Dublin Horse show.

Macken, who is based in Canada, was part of the Aga Khan squad that competed in the Nations Cup, riding Tedechine Sept.

The offence that that FEI are perusing is the refusal to submit to sample collection.

A file has been sent to the rider and he has until 17 April to respond.

Earlier today, the RDS announced an increase in the prize fund for this year’s Dublin horse show.

The fund has been increased by €150,000 and is now stands close to €1million – making it one of the richest events in Europe.
