Olympic three-day eventing team named

Horse Sport Ireland has confirmed the five-person squad that will represent Ireland at three-day eventing at this year's Olympics.

Captain Geoff Curran leads the squad with Kilkishen and Balladeer Alfred, Niall Griffin will saddle Lorgaine, Louise Lyons will ride Watership Down, Austin O'Connor will take Hobby Du Me with Patricia Ryan choosing Fernhill Clover Mist.

The squad will go into quarantine in Aachen in Germany in ten days' time before heading to Hong Kong on 29 July. The games get under way on 8 August.
