The Court of Arbitration for Sport has backed the decision of the International Equestrian Federation to suspend Jessica Kurten from competing until they have heard her case.

Kurten, who tested positive with Castle Forbes Maike in La Baule, France last season, was issued with a two-month ban but appealed the decision to CAS.

CAS asked for a stay of exucutation to the FEI, but it was denied and as a result she wasn't allowed to compete in the Netherlands last weekend.

The Antrim-born rider was due to compete in Cannes this weekend, but will have to sit it out and wait until CAS decide a date for her hearing.
