Irish rider Jessica Kurten has received a two-month suspension from the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) after Castle Forbes Maike tested positive for a banned substance last year.
The ban runs from 7 June-6 August unless Kurten launches an appeal to the Court for Arbitration in Sport.
The Antrim woman could yet represent Ireland in the Beijing Olympics.
Irish team manager Robert Splaine has yet to receive an official decision from Kurten regarding her availability.
