Jessica Kurten was in sparkling form at the four-star show in
Braunschweig, Germany on Saturday when claiming second spot in the big 1m50 jump-off qualifier class - the Veolia Championship.

One of 14 combinations through to the final round, Antrim-born Kurten and Lady Georgina Forbes's Castle Forbes Cadeau Z failed by fractions of a second to catch Netherlands winner Gert-Jan Brugginck and the ten year-old Dutch-bred Primeval Wings.

However, Kurten picked up €6,000 in prize money for her runner-up position.
