One fence down in her first round robbed Ireland's Jessica Kurten of a chance to take home the winner's prize of 60,000 euro in last night’s Grand Prix at the five star show in La Coruna, Spain.
Riding the 13 year-old bay mare Castle Forbes Maike, Cullybackey-born Kurten was nevertheless fastest of the competition's four-faulters, and ended with a fifth place and prize money of 12,000 euro.
Ireland's Marion Hughes was also just within the prize money with a 13th place on Heritage Transmission.
The Grand Prix was won by Switzerland's Pius Schwizer, one of only four riders to record a double clear round.
