A clip of the top coping in the final jump-off robbed Ireland's Shane Breen and Liffy Egan Clover Diamond of a joint first prize in the Land Rover Puissance at the Dublin Horse Show on Saturday, but Breen ended up sharing second place prize money with Britain's Nick Skelton.
Skelton's fellow British rider Robert Whitaker was the only
rider to go clear in the last round, with the 10 year-old gelding
Finbarr.
Cian O'Connor had a refusal in the final round with his 15 year-old
Puissance champion Casper, and had to settle for fourth place.
In the earlier Dublin Stakes Jump-Off, which was won by Willem Greve from the Netherlands, Ryan Crumley took a seventh place with the in-form Baltimore, with Captain Shane Carey and Shane Breen taking top ten places.
Carey also claimed a second place, with Cashla Bay, in Saturday's
first international competition, the Accumulator, while Paul O'Shea
and Edward Little finished in fifth and eight place, respectively,
with Francis Connors just outside the prize money in tenth with Auto Cruz.
Sunday sees the Fáilte Ireland Dublin Horse Show's key individual class, the Longines Grand Prix.
