Jessica Kurten was denied victory by a single mistake in last nights feature class at the Global Champions Tour in Cannes.
The world number five crossed the finish line in 67.36 seconds. This was by far the fastest time of the one-round speed class, but a fence down with the mare 'Quibell' demoted Kurten to seventh.
German superstar Marcus Ehning was 1.5 seconds slower, but a clear round left him out in front with 'Cinderella'.
With just one day left at the French fixture, Kurten is now in second place in the leading rider standings - 14 points behind Ukrainian Gregory Wathelet.
