Irish competitors have been well up in the prizemoney on the Italian Toscana Tour in Arezzo, with Peter Smyth finishing fourth in the Silver Tour Grand Prix and Cian O'Connor claiming ninth in the Gold Tour feature.
Smyth produced a double clear with Rolo Tomasi in the Silver Tour finale, but a time of 39.43 left him almost three seconds shy of the target set by French winner Charlotte Leoni.
Meath-based O'Connor was also clear throughout in his bid for the top spot in the Gold Tour Grand Prix, but Germany's Janne-Friederike Meyer had set an unbeatable time of 39.59 seconds to claim the win, leaving O'Connor and Markopoulo 13.5 seconds off the pace in ninth.
